Join a team that promotes from within and hires for long-term fit Tiello has partnered with a premier residential builder in Stamford, CT who has an immediate need for a Machine Operator. Ideally we are looking for a Machine Operator, Laborer, and CDL Driver (Class A license). This is a hands-on, multi-faceted role for someone who can operate machinery, drive, contribute as a laborer, and help keep our job sites running smoothly. The ideal candidate must have real construction experience, they must take pride in their work, and bring a dependable, can-do attitude to the team every day.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate excavators, skid steers, lulls, backhoes, and other heavy equipment for site work including digging, grading, trenching, and backfilling Safely operate a dump truck to transport materials, debris, and equipment to and from job sites Contribute as a laborer to support crews and keep projects on schedule Maintain and service equipment and machinery, and perform light maintenance as needed Perform daily equipment inspections and report issues promptly Load, secure, and unload materials safely and in compliance with DOT regulations Plan, coordinate, and help execute project tasks alongside the on-site team Work safely and respectfully on active, high-end residential properties, with care for the client's home and surroundings Maintain accurate inspection, test, and equipment documentation
Qualifications:
CDL Class A License (preferred) Experience operating excavators, skid steers, lulls, and backhoes Experience as a laborer and driver in a construction setting Ability to maintain, service, and perform light maintenance on equipment and machinery Familiarity with CT DOT and industry standards and regulations Strong attention to detail in inspections, tests, and documentation Proficiency using relevant tools Able to perform the physical demands of the role — lifting, climbing, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently with a positive, can-do attitude Must pass drug testing, motor vehicle license check, and background check Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. Tiello is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
