Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking reliable and experienced Loader Operators, Plow Truck Drivers, and Sidewalk Crew members to join our snow removal team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient snow and ice removal across various locations such as Groton, Enfield, Manchester, Glastonbury, West Hartford, Windsor, Plainfield, & Vernon. Your primary duties will include operating plow trucks with metalpless plows or pushers, managing sidewalk clearing operations, and supporting overall winter maintenance efforts. This position offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a fast-paced environment while contributing to the safety and accessibility of our community during winter months. Responsibilities Operate plow trucks equipped with metalless plows or pushers to remove snow from roads, parking lots, and other designated areas. Lead sidewalk crews in clearing sidewalks efficiently using appropriate tools and techniques. Manage snowrator sidewalk crews to ensure thorough and timely snow removal. Safely operate loaders and other heavy equipment necessary for snow removal tasks. Coordinate with team members to prioritize routes and ensure all assigned areas are cleared promptly. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to maintain safety standards and operational readiness. Adhere to safety protocols at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment. Report any equipment issues or safety concerns to supervisors immediately. Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used during snow removal operations. Experience Prior experience operating plow trucks, loaders, or similar heavy equipment is preferred. Experience working in winter weather conditions and performing snow removal tasks is highly desirable. Ability to work outdoors in cold weather and physically demanding conditions. Strong attention to safety procedures and protocols. Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential for scheduled shifts during snow events. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. This position is vital for maintaining safe access during winter months, requiring dedicated individuals committed to efficient snow removal operations.
Pay:
$26.91 - $55.00 per hour
