Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heavy Equipment Operator specializing in demolition! In this vital role, you will operate and maintain heavy construction machinery to safely and efficiently carry out demolition projects on various construction sites. Your expertise will help transform structures and prepare sites for new development, all while adhering to strict safety standards. We are looking for motivated professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about construction and machinery operation. About the role Operate excavators (with shear, grapple, or processor), skid steers, loaders, and dozers to take structures down safely and load out debris on ALII demolition jobs. Precision on the sticks and constant awareness of the ground crew are the job. What you'll do Operate demolition excavators and attachments for mass and selective demolition Run dust suppression (water) to control respirable silica during breaking and processing Load and process debris; separate salvage/recyclables where directed Coordinate constantly with the superintendent and ground spotters; hold the drop zone Daily pre-/post-operation inspection and routine maintenance of the machine What you need (required) 3+ years operating heavy equipment in demolition or heavy construction Able to operate an excavator with demolition attachments (shear/grapple/processor) OSHA 10; respirable silica awareness training Steady, controlled operation for teardown near people and adjacent structures Nice to have Long-reach / high-reach demolition experience CDL to relocate iron between sites NCCCO or equipment operator certification Skid steer and dozer proficiency
Pay:
$17.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
