We perform earthwork and site development throughout Central Iowa. We are looking for someone who can get in a dozer and work independently and accurately — not someone who needs to be trained from the ground up. Responsibilities Operate dozers and other heavy machinery such as loaders, excavators, graders, backhoes, and water trucks to perform excavation, grading, paving, and utility work. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of construction machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Follow all federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures diligently while working on-site. Assist with construction site preparation, including site clearing, leveling, and grading to meet project specifications. Collaborate with project managers and other team members to execute construction utility work accurately and efficiently. Utilize utility locating tools to identify underground utilities before excavation or grading activities commence. Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and safety inspections in accordance with company policies. Experience Previous experience operating a dozer on earthwork/site development projects Experience using GPS machine control Ability to read and understand construction plans, elevations, and grades Able to work efficiently and accurately with minimal supervision Knowledge of grading, building pads, site work, and dirt moving Takes care of equipment and performs basic daily inspections Dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to work as part of a team Valid driver's license and reliable transportation We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, shows up ready to work, and wants to be part of a company that values quality, integrity, and professionalism.
Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 60.0 per week
