Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at Cannon Builders Inc. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of heavy machinery and will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient operation on construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of equipment functionality and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members to achieve project goals. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as graders, excavators, and backhoes in a safe and efficient manner. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate tasks and maintain workflow. Execute digging, grading, and leveling tasks as required for construction projects. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery on construction sites. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and any maintenance performed. Experience Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with grader, excavator, backhoe, and loader operation. Familiarity with bridge construction and heavy civil construction projects is not necessary but preferred. Strong focus on safety practices is essential. Ability to read blueprints and understand project specifications is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
