Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Equipment Operator with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery and construction equipment to support excavation, grading, utility work, and site development projects. Your expertise will help ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality construction operations while adhering to all safety regulations and industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and construction experience to make a tangible impact on infrastructure development. Duties Operate heavy construction machinery including excavators, loaders, water trucks, and Caterpillar equipment to perform excavation, grading, and utility installation tasks. Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections on all equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety procedures. Assist with construction utility locating to accurately identify underground utilities before excavation begins. Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures diligently during all operations. Support construction site activities by performing general utility work, including trenching, backfilling, and site cleanup. Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance logs, and safety checks for accountability and compliance purposes. Collaborate with team members to execute project plans efficiently while maintaining a safe working environment. Requirements Valid CDL license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving preferred. Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, water trucks, and other construction machinery. Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and performing basic maintenance on equipment. Construction site experience with familiarity in excavation, grading, utility installation, and general construction practices. Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and adherence to all safety regulations at all times. Ability to locate underground utilities accurately using specialized tools and techniques. Excellent understanding of equipment safety procedures and heavy equipment operation standards. Physical ability to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials, standing for long periods, and working in outdoor environments in various weather conditions. $24.00 - $33.13 per hour
