Aggregates Job Summary
  • Operate heavy equipment, specifically quarry loaders, to move and load materials within the quarry environment, ensuring efficient and safe material handling operations. Job Responsibilities
  • Operate front-end loaders and other heavy equipment to load trucks, crushers, and stockpiles with various aggregates (e.g., sand, gravel, crushed stone).
  • Perform pre-shift inspections of equipment, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and operating controls, and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area around the loader and loading zones.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following traffic control plans.
  • Communicate effectively with truck drivers, plant operators, and other quarry personnel to coordinate loading activities.
  • Monitor material quality and report any inconsistencies or contamination.
  • May perform basic maintenance tasks on equipment, such as greasing and cleaning. Job Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience operating heavy equipment, particularly front-end loaders, in a quarry or construction environment.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all safety regulations.
  • Physical ability to perform strenuous tasks, including climbing, bending, and lifting, in various weather conditions.
  • Mechanical aptitude for performing routine equipment checks and minor maintenance.
