Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Yard Loader Operator to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently loading customers trucks/trailers and maintaining aggregate materials on-site to ensure smooth project operations. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation and construction site procedures will help maintain safety, productivity, and accuracy across all yard activities. Responsibilities Operate front end loader to load and unload materials accurately and safely Manage yard organization by pushing, sorting, and storing aggregate materials efficiently Conduct pre-operation inspections of machinery to ensure safety standards are met and perform daily greasing and maintenance checks Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment for yourself, team members and customers Collaborate with site supervisors to prioritize tasks Maintain detailed records of equipment usage and aggregate inventory Work directly with customers loading materials and using computer to record aggregate sale tickets and collect cash when necessary Experience Proven experience operating front end loader Strong mechanical knowledge of machinery maintenance and troubleshooting techniques Previous construction site experience with familiarity in managing yard operations effectively Valid drivers license Knowledge of construction safety standards and practices related to equipment operation and yard management Experience working with Caterpillar machinery or similar brands is advantageous Experience and general knowledge of aggregate materials is advantageous Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and efficiency Drug testing required Join us in this energetic role where your skills will directly contribute to successful project execution.
