This position is responsible for operating a front-end loader to move, stockpile, and load aggregate materials while supporting daily concrete production. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to travel between the MCI Airport and Lawrence plant locations as operational needs require. Location & Travel Primary work locations are: MCI Airport Concrete Plant (Kansas City, MO) Lawrence Concrete Plant (Lawrence, KS) This position regularly works between both plant locations. Reliable transportation is required. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Safely operate a front-end loader in a concrete plant environment. Maintain aggregate stockpiles and load material into bins, hoppers, and trucks. Perform pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections. Report maintenance and repair needs promptly. Assist with plant operations, housekeeping, and material management. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Communicate effectively with plant personnel and truck drivers. Support production needs at both the MCI Airport and Lawrence concrete plants. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in heavy equipment operation preferred 2+ years of experience operating heavy equipment, with experience in a construction setting preferred Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze project data and identify trends and opportunities for improvement Experience with government contracts and compliance is a plus Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
