The pay rate ranges from $25.00

• $28.00 per hour depending on experience. The schedule is Monday
• Friday, 7:00 am
• 3:30 pm.

Job Summary:

The Excavator Operator is responsible for safely operating excavators and other heavy equipment on structural demolition and civil construction job sites. The ideal candidate has experience operating excavators and skid loaders and is comfortable working around live and underground utilities. This position reports to the Site Supervisor or Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate excavators and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently Perform structural building demolition and civil site work Operate skid loaders and additional equipment as required Work safely around live and underground utilities Perform pre-use inspections to ensure equipment is in proper operating condition Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members Work collaboratively with other operators to meet job site production goals Maintain equipment cleanliness and report mechanical issues promptly May be assigned other duties, as necessary

Qualifications:

Minimum two to three years of experience operating excavators Experience operating long reach excavators. Experience operating marsh buggies. Previous experience operating around live or underground utilities Experience with heavy equipment operations and safety procedures Valid driver's license required Reliable transportation to report to job sites as scheduled Ability to work safely and efficiently in a team environment Strong communication skills Must be willing to submit to a drug screen and an MVR. Bilingual is a plus TWIC card is a plus

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit for extended periods while operating heavy equipment Ability to climb in and out of equipment repeatedly throughout the workday Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb on uneven terrain Work outdoors in varying weather conditions Exposure to job site hazards including moving heavy equipment, underground utilities, elevated work areas, and high noise levels Use required PPE including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, high-visibility vest, and steel-toe boots
