Job Description

Savvy Staffing is currently hiring an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator in Ayer, MA ! Temp-to-Hire Position Outdoor Work Experienced Operators Encouraged to Apply

•This is an on-call position as it relys on the trains schedule. Currently, reporting at noon and working 8-10 hours per day, they operate 7 days a week. Candidates need to understand that the schedule changes when supervisor creates it and will be provided with one day off .

Job Responsibilities:

Safely operate heavy equipment, including loaders, excavators, skid steers, and other machinery. Load, move, and organize materials throughout the yard. Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs. Follow all safety policies and operating procedures. Assist with general yard duties as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications:

Previous heavy equipment operating experience required. Experience with loaders, excavators, or similar equipment preferred. Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding work. Strong attention to safety and detail. Reliable transportation and excellent attendance. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
