Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator specializing in excavator operation to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating excavators and other construction machinery to perform excavation, grading, utility work, and site preparation activities. Your expertise will contribute to efficient project progress while adhering to all safety regulations and maintenance protocols. Duties Operate excavators and related construction machinery such as loaders, backhoes, and Komatsu equipment to perform excavation, grading, and utility installation tasks. Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections on equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety procedures. Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures diligently to maintain a safe work environment for all team members. Support site activities by performing grading, site clearing, and material handling with precision and efficiency. Collaborate with team members to execute plans, ensuring timely completion of excavation and utility tasks while maintaining high safety standards. Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and safety checks in accordance with company policies. Qualifications Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, and other related equipment in a construction environment. Strong mechanical knowledge of construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting. preferred; ability to operate a variety of heavy equipment safely is required. Experience with excavation, grading, utility work, and general construction activities. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
