Job Overview We are looking for an Experienced Asphalt Paving Roller Operator to join our growing asphalt and concrete company in Genesee County, Michigan. We are seeking dependable, hardworking individuals who have hands-on experience operating asphalt rollers and understand proper compaction techniques. Experience is required, and we are willing to pay more for qualified operators. Responsibilities Operate asphalt rollers to compact freshly laid asphalt on parking lots, roadways, and commercial projects. Maintain proper rolling patterns to achieve smooth, even surfaces and proper compaction. Work closely with paving crew to ensure quality workmanship. Adjust rolling techniques as needed. Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance. Assist with general paving operations and labor duties when needed. Follow all job site safety procedures. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Qualifications Proven experience operating asphalt paving rollers. Familiarity with asphalt paving processes. Valid commercial truck driving license with experience operating commercial vehicles safely on construction sites. Knowledge of safety regulations including DOT standards, heavy equipment operation safety protocols, and construction site safety practices. Ability to work long hours, including occasional weekends.
