Job Overview Join our team as a Seasonal Dock Installation and Removal Worker, where you will be a vital part of preparing and dismantling docks to ensure smooth operations during peak seasons. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, utilizing heavy equipment and manual tools to install, secure, and remove docks efficiently and safely. Your efforts will directly contribute to the safety and accessibility of waterfront facilities, providing a seamless experience for boaters and visitors alike. This position is paid and ideal for individuals who thrive in active outdoor environments and enjoy hands-on work with construction and heavy machinery. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, dump trucks, and front loader trucks to assist with dock installation and removal processes. Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical knowledge to assemble, secure, or disassemble dock components accurately. Conduct utility locating to ensure safe installation around underground utilities and infrastructure. Follow all safety protocols including FMCSA regulations for commercial truck driving, traffic control in work zones, and roadway safety standards. Perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of dock materials, equipment, and supplies while maintaining proper ergonomic techniques. Assist with roadway maintenance activities related to dock areas or waterfront access points as needed. Maintain detailed records of work performed, equipment used, safety inspections, and project progress. Qualifications Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, dump trucks, or similar construction equipment. Knowledge of construction site safety protocols including FMCSA regulations for commercial vehicle operation. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks outdoors in varying weather conditions. Familiarity with utility locating techniques and working around underground utilities. Construction or road construction experience preferred; experience in highway maintenance or civil infrastructure projects is a plus. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and perform basic repairs or adjustments on machinery. Strong understanding of traffic control procedures for work zones to ensure safety for workers and the public. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating commercial trucks such as front loader trucks or dump trucks is advantageous. Excellent communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions accurately. Pay:
