Job Description

Experienced equipment operator? Put your skills to work year-round.

We're looking for an experienced Equipment Operator to join our team and take on an important role in both our landscape operations and snow-removal operation.

This is not a position for someone learning equipment operation for the first time. We're looking for an operator who can confidently and safely operate heavy equipment, work independently, and step onto a job site ready to get the work done.

The work changes with the seasons, giving you the opportunity to operate a variety of equipment and build on your skills throughout the year.

What You'll Do

Spring, Summer & Fall - Full Time Seasonal

Operate skid steers, loaders, excavators, tractors, and other landscape equipment

Load, haul, and place soil, mulch, gravel, rock, and other bulk materials

Support landscape construction and maintenance crews with equipment and material handling

Perform grading, excavation, site preparation, backfilling, and cleanup

Operate hydroseeders and other specialized landscape equipment

Conduct daily equipment inspections and identify mechanical or safety concerns

Perform basic equipment maintenance and keep machines clean, fueled, and job-ready

Work efficiently while maintaining high standards for safety and quality

Winter Snow Removal - On-Call Seasonal

When winter arrives, you'll transition into our snow and ice management operation.

Operate loaders, skid steers, tractors, and other snow-removal equipment

Plow and clear commercial parking lots, drive lanes, and other properties

Load and spread salt and other deicing materials

Work extended and flexible hours during snow events, including overnight, early morning, weekend, and holiday shifts

Respond safely and efficiently to changing weather and site conditions

What You Bring

This position requires previous professional equipment operating experience.

We're looking for someone who:

Has 2+ years of experience operating heavy equipment in landscaping, construction, excavation, agriculture, snow removal, or a related industry

Has hands-on experience operating equipment such as skid steers, loaders, excavators, tractors, or similar machinery

Can confidently operate equipment safely and efficiently without constant supervision

Understands proper equipment inspection, operation, and basic maintenance

Can read a job site and determine the best way to approach the work

Is mechanically inclined and able to identify equipment problems before they become bigger issues

Has a strong understanding of workplace and equipment safety

Is dependable, self-motivated, and takes pride in doing quality work

Works well independently and as part of a crew

Is comfortable working outdoors in Minnesota's changing weather conditions

Has a valid driver's license and reliable transportation

CDL Class A is preferred and may be needed for certain assignments

Why Join Us?
