Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Description

HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
Why This Role Matters As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you are at the heart of our aggregate operations. Your skills and precision ensure that our materials — from sand and gravel to crushed rock — are efficiently loaded and moved, keeping our construction projects running smoothly. Your contributions directly impact the success of our projects and the quality of the materials we deliver. What You'll Be Doing Safely operate dozers, excavators, motor graders, or front-end loaders to load trucks, stockpile materials, and feed crushers. Inspect and maintain your equipment daily, ensuring peak performance and prioritizing safety. Collaborate with site foremen to meet production goals and ensure timely material handling. Blend and load materials according to specifications, maintaining consistency in quality. Remove debris, level surfaces, and perform site maintenance as needed to keep operations efficient. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements, prioritizing the well-being of the team and the job site. Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate on-site activities. What We're Looking For Proven experience operating front-end loaders in aggregate or construction settings. Knowledge of aggregate materials, including sand, gravel, and crushed rock. Understanding of basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Must thrive in dusty, noisy environments where the outdoors is your office — rain or shine! Willing to go the extra mile, putting in long hours, weekends, and travel to meet the demands of the job. Must possess a valid driver's license (or CDL) with a good driving record, ensuring safe and dependable travel to and from jobsites. Able to pass pre-employment drug screening, background check, and participate in random testing as required.
