Job Description

Join a team that looks out for one another and supports career growth from day one. As a Loader Operator you are responsible to operate and maintain front-end loader to load trucks.
Salary range:
$27.00-$33.00 per hour depending on experience Typical schedule is Monday - Friday and Saturday as needed
DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES
(summary of components that make up the job) Perform daily equipment, walk around and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained. Safely and properly perform maintenance (lubricating, fueling and cleaning) on loader. Maintain 3 points of contact at all times while performing maintenance activities. Safely and properly operate loader. Make sure bucket/attachments are lowered to ground whenever leaving the equipment. Load trucks with driver in sight to communicate and ensure safe loading procedure. Load trucks up to legal hauling weight limit. Identify appropriate material to produce quality aggregate material per job specifications. Communicate with other personnel and make required adjustments to material blends. Maintain smooth, level haul roads. Maintain contaminate free aggregate piles. Inspect materials - check gradation quality, oversize rocks and contaminants. Keep pit floor smooth & haul roads maintained. Directing and communicating with truck drivers to safely and efficiently get in and out of aggregate sites using specific pit traffic routes. Communicate effectively (verbal, listening & written) and work with difficult people in high stress situations. Sel-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others. Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.) Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and manager/supervisors. Ensure OSHA, MSHA, EPA, DNR, lock out/tag out, safety and environmental regulation compliance. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
General education, grammar and arithmetic, GED or high school diploma or equivalent. Equipment operation & maintenance. Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure, medical card and acceptable driving record.
