Job Description

Heavy Equipment Operator Waste Connections is looking for a safety conscience Heavy Equipment Operator to join our GROWING team at our J Bar J L andfill in Ogallala, Nebraska.

PAY:

$23-$24 per hour Every hour after 40 is paid overtime.

SCHEDULE

Monday - Friday 7am-4pm and every other Saturday 7am-12pm.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

: Spreading and compacting trash using a compactor Spreading daily cover using a Dozer Maintaining haul roads using a grader Work in a fast paced, team environment Follow safe operating practices Learn and use interpersonal skills relating to good customer service

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT

Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 60 pounds. The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Valid drivers license. Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English. 2 years of experience preferred .
