We are a small, family-owned excavation, demolition, and construction company seeking an experienced Operating Engineer/Heavy Equipment Operator. We are looking for someone who is already experienced operating an excavator, backhoe, and other construction equipment. This is not a position for someone who is just starting or looking to learn how to operate heavy equipment. Responsibilities Valid driver's license CDL is a plus. Safely and efficiently operate excavators, backhoes, and other heavy equipment Perform demolition work, including taking down structures and crushing demolition debris Perform excavation, digging, grading, loading, and site preparation Perform backfilling and properly place and compact material Follow instructions and work independently on job sites Properly care for and operate company equipment Perform basic equipment checks and report any issues Follow all jobsite safety procedures Work productively and professionally with the rest of the crew Requirements Previous hands-on experience with demolition and excavation is required Must have experience demolishing structures, taking them down, and crushing/loading debris Must have experience with backfilling and site preparation Previous experience operating excavators and backhoes required Must be able to operate equipment without extensive training confidently Must be comfortable working on active demolition and construction sites Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic Responsible and trustworthy Must take care of equipment and use it properly Able to stay focused and productive throughout the workday What We're Looking For We need someone who knows how to operate, has real demolition and excavation experience, shows up ready to work, and can be trusted with expensive equipment.
