Heavy Equipment Operator PlumbX Albuquerque, NM Job Details Full-time $17 - $33 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Front-end loaders Mechanical excavators Loader operation Full Job Description Heavy Equipment Operator - Excavator & Front-End Loader PlumbX, LLC is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator for commercial construction and underground plumbing/utility projects throughout Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, and surrounding New Mexico areas. Candidates must have hands-on experience safely operating excavators and front-end loaders . This position will work closely with our plumbing crews on underground water, sewer, and utility installations.
Responsibilities:
Safely operate excavators and front-end loaders. Excavate trenches for water, sewer, and underground plumbing systems. Perform grading, backfilling, and site preparation. Excavate to required depths and elevations. Work safely around existing underground utilities. Load, move, and place dirt and construction materials. Assist with underground utility and plumbing installations. Perform basic daily equipment inspections. Identify and report equipment problems or unsafe conditions. Communicate effectively with plumbers, laborers, foremen, and ground personnel. Follow excavation and job-site safety requirements.
Qualifications:
Previous excavator operating experience required. Previous front-end loader operating experience required. Commercial construction or underground utility experience preferred. Experience excavating trenches for water and sewer installations preferred. Ability to grade and backfill accurately. Knowledge of safe excavation practices. Ability to work around existing underground utilities. Ability to follow grade, depth, and layout requirements. Strong situational awareness when working around ground personnel. Dependable attendance and strong work ethic. Reliable transportation required. Working cell phone required.
