RMMI, LLC
is a growing excavation, construction, and septic/sewer contractor serving the Saratoga Springs area and surrounding Capital Region. Our work includes residential, commercial, and public construction projects supported by a modern fleet of trucks and heavy equipment. We are seeking a dependable and experienced Class A CDL Commercial Truck Driver who is comfortable working in a construction environment. This position is a good fit for a driver who takes care of their equipment, understands the importance of safety and communication, and wants to be an active part of field operations. What You'll Do The primary responsibility of this position is safely transporting construction equipment, aggregates, materials, and other loads between our jobsites, suppliers, and other locations.
Responsibilities include:
Operate commercial vehicles requiring a Class A CDL safely and professionally Haul excavators, skid steers, bulldozers, and other construction equipment using equipment trailers Transport stone, gravel, sand, topsoil, and other construction materials Operate dump trucks, dump trailers, and tractor-trailer combinations as assigned Load, secure, transport, and unload equipment safely Follow applicable DOT load-securement requirements Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections Maintain driver logs and required DOT paperwork Identify and report truck, trailer, or equipment maintenance and safety issues Keep assigned trucks and trailers clean and presentable Communicate with project managers, foremen, operators, customers, and suppliers Maneuver trucks and trailers safely on active construction sites and in confined working areas Follow company safety policies and applicable DOT regulations Assist field crews with reasonable construction-related work when the trucking schedule allows This is not strictly a seat-and-steering-wheel position . Drivers are an important part of our construction operation and should be willing to assist with equipment loading, jobsite coordination, basic truck and trailer maintenance, and other tasks when needed.
Minimum Qualifications Applicants must have:
Valid Class A CDL Current DOT medical certification OSHA-10 Acceptable driving record Ability to pass required pre-employment drug screening Knowledge of safe commercial vehicle operation and DOT requirements Ability to safely back and maneuver tractor-trailer combinations Working knowledge of proper load securement Ability to perform the physical work associated with loading, securing, and maintaining equipment Dependable transportation and reliable attendance Good communication skills Professional conduct when interacting with customers, vendors, inspectors, and other contractors Preferred Experience We are especially interested in candidates with experience involving: Construction or excavation trucking Heavy equipment hauling Lowboy or equipment trailers Dump trucks and dump trailers Aggregate and material hauling Loading and securing construction equipment Heavy equipment operation Basic truck, trailer, and equipment maintenance Experience operating excavators, skid steers, bulldozers, loaders, or similar heavy equipment is a plus and may provide additional opportunities within our operation. The Person We're Looking For A successful candidate will show up on time and ready to work, take pride in maintaining company equipment, and be capable of working independently without constant supervision. Construction schedules can change during the day, so drivers must be able to communicate effectively and adjust as field conditions require. We also value employees who are willing to help the team rather than defaulting to "that's not my job." Safety, professionalism, equipment care, and representing the company well on the road and at project locations are important parts of this position. Schedule This is a full-time, Monday-through-Friday position . Daily starting and finishing times may vary based on project requirements, trucking schedules, and jobsite locations. Overtime may be available depending on workload. Compensation Competitive hourly compensation based on experience, qualifications, and capabilities. Candidates with substantial experience in heavy equipment hauling, construction trucking, and/or heavy equipment operation may qualify for higher starting compensation. Benefits
