Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic family-owned team as a Heavy Equipment Operator and Truck Driver, where you will play a vital role in executing construction projects with precision and safety. Your expertise in operating heavy machinery and commercial trucks will ensure efficient site operations, from excavation and grading to utility work. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and safety awareness to deliver quality results.
CDL IS HIGHLY PREFERRED BUT NO REQUIRED.

Duties Operate heavy construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, and Caterpillar equipment to perform excavation, grading, and utility installation tasks. Drive commercial trucks to transport materials, equipment, and personnel safely across construction sites and between locations. Conduct routine maintenance and mechanical inspections on construction machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Utilize utility locating techniques to identify underground utilities before excavation or trenching activities. Follow all federal construction safety regulations, equipment safety procedures, and site-specific safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment. Assist with construction utility work, including trenching, backfilling, and site preparation activities. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and safety inspections. Qualifications Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, or similar equipment. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record for truck driving responsibilities (strongly preferred but not required) Strong mechanical knowledge with ability to perform basic maintenance on heavy equipment. Construction site experience with familiarity in excavation, grading, utility installation, and site preparation. Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures. Ability to operate loaders, excavators (including Caterpillar models), and other construction machinery confidently and safely. Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week
