Columbia, SC (Local & Statewide Projects) Superior Skilled Trades is hiring experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for a company based in Columbia, SC .
This position offers a great combination of local work in the Columbia area and travel opportunities on projects throughout South Carolina, providing steady work with a variety of jobsite experiences.
Per Diem:
$105/day for jobsites located more than 72 miles from your residence.
Pay & Schedule Pay:
$20
25/hr DOE +
Plenty of Overtime Available Hours:
Full-Time | 50-58 hours/week
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM
5:30 PM | Saturdays as needed

$105/day for jobsites 72+ miles from home Job Description As a Dozer/Excavator Operator
GPS , you will: Safely and efficiently operate GPS-equipped dozers and excavators.
Perform rough and finish grading, trenching, and site preparation. Assist with pipe laying and underground utility installation. Perform manual labor and ground work as needed to support the crew. Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, grade stakes, and elevations. Complete daily equipment inspections and perform basic preventative maintenance. Follow all company safety policies and properly wear required PPE. Qualifications 3-5+ years of experience operating dozers and/or excavators. Experience with GPS machine control is required. Pipe laying or underground utility experience is preferred. Strong rough and finish grading skills. Ability to read and interpret site plans, grade stakes, and elevations. Willingness to perform manual labor when needed. Comfortable working on both local and out-of-town projects. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Additional Requirements Must be authorized to work in the United States. Must pass a background check and drug screen. Must wear required PPE, including steel-toe boots, hard hat, high-visibility vest, safety glasses, and gloves. Why You'll Love This Role Steady, long-term work with plenty of overtime.
