Role Overview Based in Haslet, Texas, this on-site position operates during the first shift from 6 AM to 3 PM. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will facilitate material handling and production tasks by maneuvering various machinery to assist with structural assembly, loading, and site transportation. Your contributions are vital to keeping projects on track and fostering a productive, secure work environment. You will ensure all machinery usage aligns with internal safety guidelines and OSHA standards, while also performing necessary inspections, documenting logs, and addressing mechanical issues. Additionally, you will provide general labor support to help the team reach its operational objectives. Core Responsibilities and Skills Candidates should demonstrate expertise in the following areas: Diagnosing and resolving equipment performance issues Managing crane and lifting systems to ensure safe operations Maintaining compliance with DOT regulations and equipment inspection protocols Operating 36k fork trucks to move heavy loads efficiently Utilizing carry deck cranes for versatile lifting tasks Handling class 5 forklifts in various warehouse settings Managing class 7 forklifts to support material flow Operating gantry cranes to assist in large-scale assembly projects Applying OSHA safety standards to protect the entire team
