Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Land Clearing and Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery and ensuring efficient land clearing operations on various construction sites. Your expertise in equipment operation, safety procedures, and utility work will be vital to the success of our projects. Duties Operate heavy construction machinery including excavators, loaders, backhoes, water trucks, and Caterpillar equipment to perform land clearing, excavation, grading, and utility work. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures at all times to maintain a safe working environment. Assist with construction utility locating to accurately identify underground utilities before excavation begins. Perform construction site preparation tasks such as grading, trenching, and site cleanup to support project timelines. Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and safety checks. Collaborate with project managers and team members to execute land clearing plans efficiently and safely. Experience Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, and water trucks in a commercial or construction setting. Strong knowledge of construction utility work, excavation techniques, and site grading processes. Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations and adherence to all safety protocols during operations. Mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting. Prior experience in construction site management or utility locating is highly desirable. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with experience in commercial truck driving preferred.
