Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Heavy Equipment Operator - III to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery with precision and safety, ensuring efficient completion of excavation, grading, and utility installation projects. Your expertise in construction machinery maintenance, utility locating, and adherence to safety regulations will be vital in maintaining a safe and productive work environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction projects while demonstrating your advanced operational skills and mechanical knowledge. Responsibilities Operate heavy construction equipment including excavators, loaders, backhoes, and Caterpillar machinery to perform excavation, grading, and utility work efficiently. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures diligently to maintain a secure job site. Perform construction utility work such as utility locating and installation to support infrastructure development projects. Assist with construction site preparation, including site clearing, leveling, and grading activities. Collaborate with team members to execute project plans accurately while adhering to construction timelines. Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and safety inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards. Skills Extensive experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, and other construction machinery. Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and performing basic maintenance on construction equipment. Proven ability in construction utility work including utility locating and installation procedures. Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures. Skilled in construction grading techniques to achieve precise land contours. Valid commercial truck driving license with experience in commercial driving is preferred. Familiarity with construction site experience, including excavation, utility work, and general construction operations. Ability to perform routine equipment maintenance and identify mechanical issues promptly. Pay:
$27.00 - $33.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
