Rathe's Salvage is looking for an Equipment Operator ! We are a family-owned business consisting of scrap metal and automotive recycling.

Responsibilities for this role include:

Operating heavy equipment including Bucket Loaders, Excavators, and a Car Crusher, Identifying and separating metals, Loading trucks, operating a torch, Interacting with customers, and general equipment maintenance and upkeep. We are looking for someone that works well on a team, is reliable, and has basic operational experience.

Pay:

$24-$30 hour based on experience (36 hours a week)

Schedule:

Tuesday-Friday, 8am-5pm 4 Day Workweek! 2 and a half weeks paid time off

Location:

Colchester, VT Responsibilities:

Operation of Heavy Equipment to crush and move vehicles/metal Maintaining a clean and safe work environment for customers/employees Able to identify and separate various types of metals Positive and helpful attitude when dealing with customers Basic mechanical knowledge and understanding for equipment maintenance

Qualifications:

Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity is preferred Team player with a positive attitude Able to lift 50 lbs+ and stand for long periods of time Is capable of operating heavy equipment safely (will be trained to do so) Rathe's Salvage is an equal opportunity employer
