Position:

Painting Division Lead / Qualifying Individual Job Overview AlphaBrite Home Services is expanding into professional residential and commercial painting and is seeking an experienced California C-33 Painting and Decorating professional to help build and lead our painting division. This is not a standard painter position. We are specifically seeking someone who currently holds, or has previously qualified, a California C-33 contractor license and is eligible and willing to serve as the qualifying individual for our company's C-33 contractor license . The ideal candidate is an experienced painter and supervisor who can oversee painting projects, maintain high workmanship and safety standards, train field personnel, assist with estimating, and play an important role in growing the painting division. Responsibilities Serve as the company's C-33 qualifying individual , subject to CSLB approval and requirements Actively supervise and oversee the company's painting operations Lead residential and light commercial interior and exterior painting projects Train and supervise painters and painting crews Inspect jobs and maintain quality-control standards Prepare surfaces through scraping, sanding, pressure washing, caulking, patching, masking and priming Apply paint, stains, primers and coatings using brushes, rollers and professional spray equipment Assist with estimating labor, materials and project timelines Determine appropriate preparation methods, coatings and application techniques Help establish standardized painting procedures and production systems Ensure crews follow ladder, fall-protection, respiratory-protection and jobsite safety procedures Communicate professionally with customers and management Maintain organized equipment, materials and job sites Assist management in growing AlphaBrite's painting division Required Qualifications California C-33 Painting and Decorating qualification/license experience Must be legally eligible to serve as a qualifying individual for the company's C-33 contractor license Must be willing to be formally associated with AlphaBrite's contractor license and actively participate in supervising the painting operation Significant professional residential and/or commercial painting experience Strong knowledge of exterior and interior surface preparation Experience with brush, roller and airless spray applications Ability to supervise and train painting crews Strong understanding of painting materials, primers, coatings and application methods Ability to estimate labor and material requirements Comfortable working from ladders and around multi-story residential properties Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Strong attention to detail and commitment to professional workmanship Preferred Qualifications Currently or recently listed with CSLB as the qualifier on an active C-33 license Painting foreman, supervisor, project manager or business-owner experience Experience estimating residential exterior painting projects Experience managing multiple painting crews Familiarity with East Bay residential properties and customers Experience helping establish or grow a painting operation What We're Offering This is an opportunity to do more than simply work as a painter.
