Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our construction and renovation team. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential, commercial, and industrial painting projects, with a strong understanding of various painting techniques and surface preparation. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including restoration, remodeling, and new construction, utilizing a wide range of hand tools and power equipment. Candidates with background in blueprint reading, schematics, and construction site experience will excel in this position. A commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and efficiency is essential. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, plastering, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, airless spray equipment, or other methods Read blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications and measurements Perform trim carpentry, fixture installation, stucco work, masonry finishing, and drywall restoration as needed Operate power tools such as drills, sanders, and spray guns safely and effectively Assist with demolition or surface prep for renovation projects on construction sites Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly Collaborate with project managers to estimate materials needed for each job using construction estimating skills Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a secure working environment Experience Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, or industrial painting projects Knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math skills Hands-on experience with hand tools such as caulking guns, putty knives, brushes, rollers; familiarity with power tools including airless sprayers and saws Background in construction site work including framing carpentry, trim carpentry, restoration work, masonry finishing, or remodeling projects Skills in plastering, stucco application, fixture installation, welding (preferred), concrete finishing (a plus), and maintenance tasks are advantageous Prior maintenance person experience or experience working on renovation projects is highly desirable This role is perfect for individuals passionate about craftsmanship who thrive in dynamic environments requiring versatility across different types of painting and surface preparation tasks.
