In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, caulking, drywall repair, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Interpret technical drawings and specifications to accurately execute painting projects according to design requirements. Apply paint using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless and conventional spray equipment), ensuring even coverage and smooth finishes. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely for surface preparation, fixture installation, and minor repairs as needed. Perform structural painting on various surfaces such as stucco, drywall, metal, or wood in both interior and exterior settings. Follow safety regulations rigorously by wearing respiratory protection, adhering to safety protocols, and maintaining a clean work environment to prevent accidents. Conduct color matching and visual color comparisons to achieve precise aesthetic results aligned with client specifications. Assist with renovation projects by providing handyman services such as caulking, drywall patching, fixture installation, and general maintenance tasks. Maintain detailed records of work performed and communicate progress effectively with project managers and team members. Qualifications Proven experience in construction painting including residential, commercial, or industrial settings. Knowledge of construction estimating processes is a plus for project planning. Familiarity with color theory for accurate color matching and visual consistency. Skilled in surface preparation techniques such as sanding, caulking, drywall repair, stucco application, and coating application. Ability to operate various tools including brushes, rollers, paint sprayers (airless and conventional), power tools, ladders safely and efficiently. Strong understanding of safety regulations related to construction painting including respiratory protection measures. Experience interpreting technical drawings or blueprints for precise project execution. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to surface area or paint quantities.
