Candidates must have:
A valid driver license with transportation to and from work experience with painting, power washing, staining, rolling, etc. A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and are able to show up for work each day Be comfortable with heights Responsibilities Assist lead painters with surface preparation, including sanding, scraping, and cleaning surfaces for painting or finishing. Mix paints, stains, and other materials accurately using basic math skills to ensure proper consistency and color matching based on color theory principles. Handle hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during painting, caulking, trim carpentry, or plastering tasks. Support the setup of scaffolding, ladders, or drop cloths to ensure a safe working environment on construction sites. Help with the application of paint, primer, or specialty coatings using airless paint spraying equipment or brushes. Perform minor repairs such as patching holes or cracks in walls and surfaces to prepare for painting or restoration. Follow schematics, blueprints, or schematic diagrams for precise project execution in renovation or remodeling projects. Skills Knowledge of construction estimating and blueprint reading enhances your ability to support complex projects effectively. Familiarity with residential painting techniques and commercial painting standards ensures versatile project support. Experience with hand tools, power tools, caulking, fixture installation, stucco application, masonry, welding, and concrete finishing is highly valued. Understanding of color theory aids in achieving accurate color matching and aesthetic results. Construction site experience provides insight into safety protocols and efficient workflow management. Skills in carpentry—including trim carpentry, frame carpentry, plastering, restoration work—and schematics reading are advantageous. Basic math proficiency supports measurements and material calculations necessary for precise work.
