Position - Field Foreman Our commercial painting foremen play a key role in organizing and leading the painting production of large-scale industrial job sites. They help bring these projects to the finish line with excellence while working with their project manager and superintendent, leading a team of painters.
Qualifications :
- 3+ Years of experience as a lead painter
- Keep the team accountable for the expectations of tasks and goals
- Honesty and reliability to assume tasks provided by our organization
- Leadership & sensitive directing skills to lead and discipline all personnel under him/her
- Have a positive attitude and a friendly demeanor
- Maintain a high degree of professionalism in all aspects of job responsibilities.
- Perform other duties/special projects assigned by management and keep them properly informed
- Basic paint products knowledge, such as sheens and proper surface product applications
- Basic drywall repairs, surface preparation, and finishing skills
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to use hand tools safely and efficiently
- knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques
- Able to successfully communicate with a smartphone or tablet, compose & reply to emails and texts. Record pictures and or video on mobile devices
- Work and understand technology, 3rd party apps (QuickBooks Timecard, Procore, Fieldwire, etc.)
- Knowledge and use of spraying machines, pressure washing equipment, and safety gear
- Good use of the English language in written and spoken form. Command of the Spanish language is also required
- Scissors & Boom lift certification
- OSHA 30-Hour safety training
- CPR first aid certification
Supervision:
- The field foreman reports and is accountable to the superintendent and project manager
- The field foreman is responsible for the supervision of all personnel and subcontractors on the assigned project.
General Duties:
- Inspecting the job site and work to make sure it meets standards
Training:
Teaching crew members essential skills to ensure quality workmanship
- Communicating with customers
- Evaluating staff performance
- Complete job tickets, which include total hours worked per week, material used, and rental equipment. Gets ticket signed
- Cleaning machines, equipment, and work areas using water, solvents, and other cleaning aids
- Communicate and demonstrate safety protocols and address safety concerns on job sites
- Adapting plans and schedules to changing circumstances, and making decisions to complete work
Physical & General Requirements:
- Be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. of supplies and equipment
- Comfortable working 80+ feet in the air on a ladder/lift/roof
- Climb ladders
- Work on your knees
- Wear a respirator and the required safety equipment
- Applying paint, and other finishes professionally using paint brushes, rollers, and sprayers
- Stand for long periods
- Demonstrate sensitivity to and respect for a diverse population
- Organize and run the paint crew at an appropriate production speed and phase adaptive to schedules and deadlines
- Work with our subcontractors in a responsible, respectful, and harmonious manner, establishing great work relationships
- Reliable transportation to travel to job sites
- Drive a minimum distance of 60+ miles to the job location (Special circumstances are accommodated on a one-to-one basis)
- Valid driver's license
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Pay:
$28.00 - $33.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
