Responsibilities Prepare surfaces thoroughly through cleaning, sanding, plastering, drywall installation, stucco application, and surface priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion and durability Apply coatings using various methods including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (including airless paint spraying and conventional spraying), and construction spray painting techniques Use hand tools and power tools safely to execute detailed painting tasks on walls, ceilings, fixtures, and structural elements Interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately to match color schemes and project requirements using visual color comparison skills and knowledge of color theory Conduct surface preparation for industrial and commercial painting projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations such as respiratory protection and safety protocol adherence Install fixtures or perform handyman tasks related to remodeling, renovation, or maintenance projects as needed Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste properly while adhering to safety regulations at all times Requirements Proven experience in construction painting with a focus on commercial projects; residential painting experience is a plus Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless), brushes, rollers, and scaffolding or ladder use for elevated surfaces Knowledge of construction estimating processes and interpreting technical drawings or blueprints Familiarity with surface preparation techniques such as plastering, drywall finishing, stucco application, and coating procedures Understanding of safety regulations related to construction site work including respiratory protection protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimations Experience with industrial painting applications and fixture installation is advantageous Strong attention to detail with excellent visual color comparison skills for precise color matching during projects Valid construction site experience with an emphasis on renovation or remodeling projects; handyman experience is beneficial Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by following all safety protocols diligently Embark on a rewarding career where your craftsmanship makes a visible difference!
