Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance their aesthetic appeal, and ensure durable, high-quality results. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that require precision, creativity, and a strong understanding of painting techniques and materials. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and repairing imperfections to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply primers, paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools. Read blueprints and schematics to determine project scope, color schemes based on color theory principles, and specific application requirements. Perform specialized painting tasks including construction painting, industrial painting, restoration projects, and stucco or masonry finishes. Execute surface preparation tasks like caulking, plastering, drywall finishing, trim carpentry, framing, and masonry work as needed for seamless results. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols on construction sites. Collaborate with team members on painting projects to ensure timely completion of tasks while maintaining quality standards. Assist with fixture installation and basic maintenance tasks related to painting projects. Qualifications Proven experience in residential and commercial painting with a strong understanding of construction site procedures. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools (including airless sprayers), if necessary. Skilled in surface preparation techniques such as caulking and plastering. Experience with carpentry (trim carpentry or frame carpentry), handyman tasks or maintenance work is a plus. (Not necessary but a plus) Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills on construction sites.
