Job Summary:
An experienced painter at DAI Restore will be responsible for preparing and painting surfaces to restore and enhance the aesthetics of residential and commercial properties after mitigation services (fire, water, smoke , mold) are complete. The role involves surface preparation, applying paint, and collaborating with the project team to ensure timely and high-quality completion of tasks. Painters will follow safety protocols and maintain all tools and equipment while ensuring the companys high standards are consistently met.
Responsibilities:
Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, and filling holes and cracks. Apply primer and paint to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray guns. Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired shades and finishes. Follow safety guidelines and use protective equipment when handling paints and chemicals. Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment to ensure proper function. Collaborate with other team members to complete projects within the designated time frame. Communicate effectively with supervisors and project managers to discuss timelines and project progress. Perform minor drywall repair, frame carpentry, masonry, and fixture installation as required. Ensure adherence to all company policies, quality standards, and safety practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Previous experience as a painter or in a similar role is preferred. Knowledge of different painting techniques and materials (e.g. oil-based, water-based, etc.) Familiarity with basic math for measuring, calculating paint quantities, and estimating required materials. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for surface preparation. Understanding of color theory and ability to create harmonious color schemes. Basic knowledge of drywall repair, carpentry, masonry, and fixture installation is a plus. Strong attention to detail and quality control. Ability to work independently or as a part of a team, with good communication skills. Physical stamina to stand, bend, kneel, and lift heavy objects as required. Ability to work in varying weather conditions, particularly for exterior jobs.
