Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Painter Helper and play a vital role in supporting professional painters to deliver high-quality painting projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sites. This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in construction painting while developing essential skills in surface preparation, coating application, and safety protocols. As a Painter Helper, you will assist with various tasks that ensure efficient project completion and uphold our commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Assist experienced painters with surface preparation including sanding, drywall repair, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Support the application of paint using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless spray painting), and other hand or power tools. Prepare construction painting surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas to achieve smooth finishes. Handle and operate equipment such as ladders, scaffolding, paint sprayers, and power tools safely and effectively. Follow safety regulations diligently by wearing appropriate respiratory protection and adhering to all safety protocols on-site. Interpret basic technical drawings or blueprints to understand project specifications and color schemes. Assist with renovation, remodeling, maintenance projects, and fixture installation as needed to support overall project goals. Skills Knowledge of construction estimating and blueprint reading for accurate project planning. Understanding of color theory for proper color matching and visual color comparison. Experience with residential painting, commercial painting, industrial painting, and surface preparation techniques. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including conventional spraying), airless paint spraying, brushes, rollers, caulking guns, and other equipment. Ability to interpret technical drawings and follow detailed instructions on construction sites. Familiarity with safety regulations including respiratory protection and safe ladder use. Basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating paint quantities. Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of drywall installation, plastering, masonry, trim carpentry, fixture installation, framing carpentry, remodeling projects, and general handyman tasks. Strong attention to detail for quality finishes and adherence to safety standards.
