This energetic position involves transforming apartments through expert painting, surface preparation, and finishing work, ensuring each space meets high-quality standards. As a key contributor to our renovation and maintenance efforts, you'll bring vibrant color schemes to life, enhance property aesthetics, and uphold safety protocols on every project. Duties Prepare apartment surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching drywall, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion Execute painting tasks using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless spray), and other tools to achieve smooth, even finishes on walls, ceilings, trim, and structural elements Apply coatings such as paint, stain, primer, or sealant following project specifications and color schemes based on visual color comparison and blueprint reading Use ladders safely to access high or hard-to-reach areas while adhering to all safety regulations and respiratory protection protocols Perform minor carpentry work including fixture installation, frame carpentry, drywall repair, plastering, and basic remodeling tasks as needed for make-ready projects Conduct surface preparation for construction painting surfaces such as masonry, drywall, or concrete to ensure durability and quality of the finish Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to accurately execute renovation plans while coordinating with team members on site Requirements Proven experience in residential construction painting or commercial painting projects with a focus on apartment make-ready work Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless), brushes, rollers, and conventional spray equipment Knowledge of construction estimating principles and surface preparation techniques for various substrates including drywall, masonry, and plaster Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately for precise project execution Strong understanding of safety regulations related to construction site work including respiratory protection and safety protocol adherence Skilled in the use of ladders safely for high-reach areas along with general knowledge of structural painting practices Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coating thicknesses and surface area estimates Experience with fixture installation, trim carpentry, caulking, drywall repair, remodeling projects or handyman work is a plus Valid construction site experience with knowledge of blueprint reading and renovation processes Join us in creating beautiful living spaces!
