Duties Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, caulking, plastering, drywall installation, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine proper painting techniques and materials for each project. Apply paints, stains, coatings, and finishes using hand tools such as brushes and rollers or power tools including paint sprayers (airless and conventional) for efficient coverage. Utilize construction estimating skills to assess project scope, materials needed, and timeframes accurately. Perform structural painting tasks on surfaces like stucco, masonry, concrete, and metal structures with precision using spray equipment or brush/roller techniques. Follow safety regulations diligently by wearing respiratory protection and adhering to all safety protocols during surface preparation and application processes. Conduct site inspections to ensure quality standards are met while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Assist with fixture installation, renovation projects, restoration work, framing carpentry, drywall finishing, caulking, trim carpentry, masonry repairs, and general handyman tasks as needed. Experience Proven experience in construction or industrial painting with a strong understanding of surface preparation techniques. Familiarity with residential and commercial painting projects including interior and exterior applications. Knowledge of color theory to select appropriate color schemes that meet client specifications. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (airless/conventional), brushes, rollers, and other relevant equipment. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately for precise application. Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of safety regulations such as respiratory protection and site safety protocols. Basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating material quantities efficiently. Additional skills in carpentry (frame carpentry), drywall installation/finishing, plastering, stucco work, masonry repairs, renovation projects, fixture installation, concrete finishing, remodeling tasks, maintenance work, airless spray painting techniques—and a proactive attitude towards learning new skills—are highly valued.
