Plumber Facility Services Management Inc. - 4.3 Camp Pendleton, CA Job Details $61.28 an hour 15 hours ago Qualifications Driver's License Journeyman Plumber Full Job Description Job title: Plumber Job Summary The Plumber must possess a diverse skill set that includes all aspects of plumbing work. Assembles, installs, and repairs pipes, fitting, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems. Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings, using hand tools and power tools Cut and thread pipe, using pipe cutters, cutting torch, and pipe-threading machine, bends pipe to required angle by use of pipe-bending machine, or by placing pipe over block and bending it by hand Assemble and install valves, pipefittings, and pipes composed of metals, such as iron, steel, brass and lead, and nonmetals, such as glass, vitrified clay, and plastic Join pipe by use of screws, bolts, fittings, solder, plastic solvent, and caulks joints, fills pipe system with water or air Read pressure gauges to determine whether system is leaking, installs and repairs plumbing fixtures, such as sinks, commodes, bathtubs, water heaters, hot water tanks, garbage disposal units, dishwashers, and water softeners Repair and maintain plumbing by replacing washers in leaky faucets, mending burst pipes, and opening clogged drains, and may weld holding fixtures to steel structural members. Proficient in the safe use of power and hand tools common to the plumbing trade Must be willing to learn, follow instructions and work well with other members of the team. Professional, self-motivated and able to work independently. Performs all duties in conformance with company safety policies and procedures. Education and/or Work Experience Requirements High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum one (1) to three (3) years' experience as a journeyman plumber. Plumber shall possess a valid Plumbing Journeyman's license and experience in medical research commercial service. All state or federal license requirements; or any licenses or certificates that may be required by the contract in which the employee is working. Valid driver's license and an insurable driving record. Must possess or be able to obtain a NACI security clearance. (National Agency Check with Inquiries).
