Job Summary:

The Journeyman Plumber will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in both new construction projects and existing service calls. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing, with expertise in residential and commercial systems, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

New Construction:

Install and assemble plumbing systems in new buildings, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances. Read and interpret blueprints and building codes to ensure compliance and accuracy. Coordinate with other trades and construction teams to ensure seamless integration of plumbing systems. Test plumbing systems for leaks and ensure proper functioning of all components.

Service Work:

Respond to service calls for plumbing repairs and maintenance. Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues, including leaks, clogs, and system malfunctions. Provide accurate estimates and recommendations for repairs or replacements. Communicate effectively with customers to explain issues and solutions, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

General Responsibilities:

Maintain a clean and organized work area & work vehicle , adhering to safety protocols and company policies. Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used. Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and code changes to ensure compliance and best practices. Mentor and assist apprentices and less experienced plumbers as needed.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a plumber, with significant experience in both new construction and service work.

Licensure:

Valid Journeyman Plumber license is a plus but not mandatory Must have clean driving record and valid drivers license

Skills:

Proficient in reading blueprints and technical diagrams. Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment. Comfort with working in various environments, including confined spaces and elevated areas.

Tools and Equipment:

Familiarity with standard plumbing tools and equipment.
