What You'll Do You'll work in the field every day, completing residential plumbing installations sold by our sales team with an apprentice or new-hire plumber beside you. You'll teach through real, hands-on work, setting the standard for workmanship, safety, and customer service on every job.

Your responsibilities include:

Complete residential plumbing installations that meet code and Barnett's quality standards. Train and mentor apprentices and new-hire plumbers through hands-on, on-the-job instruction at customer homes. Demonstrate proper installation techniques, then step back and coach trainees as they take on more of the work. Teach code requirements, safe work practices, and efficient job planning as each job calls for them. Evaluate trainee progress, give constructive feedback, and report to leadership on their development. Help us improve our field training process, including checklists and skill benchmarks for new plumbers. Coordinate with the sales team to understand the scope of work and customer expectations. Keep jobs on schedule and within budget while teaching. Protect customers' homes and leave every work area clean. Model clear, professional communication with customers and teammates. What You Bring At least 5 years of residential plumbing experience, with deep knowledge of installations. Experience mentoring, training, or leading other tradespeople (formal or informal) is preferred. Patience and a genuine interest in helping others learn. Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail. The ability to work efficiently without cutting corners, and to teach others to do the same. Clear, professional communication. Respect for customers, their homes, and your teammates. A valid California driver's license and a good driving record. Ability to meet background check and drug screening requirements.
