Full-Time Position Summary TB Plumbing of Palm Harbor, Inc. is seeking an experienced New Construction 2nd Rough Plumber to join our residential new construction team. This position is primarily responsible for completing second-rough plumbing work after the initial underground/first-rough phase and preparing homes for the final trim and fixture installation phase. We are also building a team of well-rounded plumbers with diverse skill sets who can contribute in multiple areas of the business. Experience with 1st rough, trim/finish plumbing, and servicework is a strong plus. The ideal candidate is versatile, dependable, and willing to pivot into other plumbing responsibilities when project schedules or business needs require it. Responsibilities Perform second-rough plumbing on new residential construction projects. Install and complete water distribution and DWV piping as required for the second-rough phase. Install tub and shower valves, hose bibbs, water heater connections, and other rough-in components. Complete plumbing connections and piping within walls and ceilings before drywall and finishes. Verify proper placement, height, spacing, and alignment of plumbing stub-outs. Review construction plans and plumbing layouts to ensure work matches project specifications. Identify and correct plumbing issues from earlier phases before walls are closed. Pressure-test water piping and test DWV systems as required. Prepare plumbing systems for required inspections. Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites. Coordinate with project leadership, builders, other trades, and TB Plumbing team members. Communicate material needs, jobsite issues, plan conflicts, or potential delays promptly. Protect completed plumbing work from damage by other trades. Follow company safety procedures and applicable building and plumbing codes. Assist with 1st rough, trim/finish, service, remodel, or other plumbing work as needed. Be willing and able to shift between responsibilities based on project demands, scheduling needs, and team priorities. Qualifications Previous residential new construction plumbing experience required. Strong experience with second-rough plumbing preferred. Experience with 1st rough, trim/finish plumbing, and residential service work is a plus. Ability to perform effectively in multiple phases of residential plumbing is highly valued. Ability to read residential construction plans and plumbing drawings. Knowledge of water distribution, sanitary, vent, and residential plumbing systems. Ability to identify and troubleshoot plumbing problems in the field. Understanding of Florida plumbing codes and residential construction practices. Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a crew. Willingness to learn additional areas of the trade and support other crews when needed. Reliable transportation and valid driver's license. Ability to safely operate standard plumbing tools and equipment. Dependable attendance and ability to report to jobsites throughout the Tampa Bay area. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry plumbing materials, tools, and equipment. Ability to work on ladders and in attics, crawl spaces, and other construction areas. Ability to bend, kneel, climb, stand, and work in construction environments for extended periods. Ability to work outdoors and in Florida weather conditions as required.
