Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across residential, commercial, and industrial sites. Your expertise will ensure that plumbing projects adhere to all local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards. Duties Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, gas piping systems, and HVAC components in accordance with construction plans and schematics. Read blueprints and schematics accurately to determine the layout of plumbing systems on construction sites or during remodeling projects. Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques to assemble and install plumbing components efficiently. Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on existing plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with building codes. Follow safety regulations rigorously during all phases of work, including heavy lifting, working at heights, or in confined spaces. Collaborate with construction teams, carpenters, HVAC technicians, and project managers to coordinate installation schedules and troubleshoot issues promptly. Ensure all work complies with local building codes, plumbing building codes, mechanical standards, and safety regulations while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship. Qualifications Proven experience as a Journeyman Plumber with construction site experience in residential and commercial settings. Valid journeyman plumber license or certification as required by local regulations. Extensive knowledge of plumbing building codes, local building codes, safety regulations, and construction plans. Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics; ability to interpret technical drawings accurately. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, welding tools, and other plumbing-related machinery. Strong mechanical knowledge related to pipe installation, pipe repair, gas piping systems, HVAC components, and system maintenance. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights or in confined spaces as needed. Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients or team members. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations; carpentry experience is a plus. Valid driver's license for commercial driving duties; experience with construction site logistics is advantageous. Knowledge of schematics for complex plumbing systems; experience with remodeling or handyman tasks is beneficial.
