Chicago Suburbs Plumbing

Plumber

Job Description

I'm looking to partner with an experienced, reliable independent plumber or small plumbing company who is interested in taking on additional residential plumbing work throughout the Chicago area. I generate plumbing leads and customer calls, but I'm not able to personally handle all of the jobs that come in. I'm looking for a dependable plumbing contractor who can take the jobs, communicate with customers, provide estimates when needed, complete the work, and handle the plumbing side of the job from start to finish. This is intended to be a long-term working partnership, not a traditional hourly employment position. How It Works The arrangement is straightforward: I generate and receive the plumbing leads and customer calls. When a customer needs service, I collect the basic job information. I provide the customer's information to the plumbing contractor. The plumber contacts the customer directly to discuss the issue, answer questions, provide an estimate if necessary, and schedule the work. The plumber completes the job and handles the actual plumbing work. We split the profits from completed jobs according to the agreed partnership structure. The goal is to create a consistent source of residential plumbing work for the contractor while allowing me to handle the lead generation and customer acquisition side.
Compensation / Profit
Split The exact structure can be discussed and agreed upon before starting, but the general arrangement is a profit-sharing model rather than an hourly wage. The lead-generating side receives a percentage of the net profit from jobs that come through the leads provided. For example, the initial job from a newly acquired customer would generally be split 60% to the plumbing contractor and 40% to the lead-generation side, after agreed-upon job expenses. For recurring customers or future work from the same customer, we can establish a reduced referral percentage so that the arrangement remains fair to both sides. All expenses, payments, refunds, cancellations, and profit calculations should be clearly documented so there is no confusion about what each side receives. What I'm Looking For The ideal partner is: An experienced plumber or plumbing contractor Comfortable handling residential plumbing work Reliable and responsive with customers Able to communicate professionally Able to provide estimates when appropriate Able to handle jobs independently Interested in receiving additional work without having to generate every lead themselves Located in or willing to service the Chicago area and surrounding suburbs Properly licensed and insured where required for the work being performed Types of Leads Leads may include common residential plumbing requests such as: Drain cleaning Clogged drains Toilet repair and installation Faucet repair and installation Plumbing leaks Pipe repairs Water heater repair and installation Garbage disposal repair and installation Sewer cleaning and repair Sump pump repair and installation Emergency plumbing Shower and bathtub plumbing Outdoor plumbing General plumbing repairs Other residential plumbing projects Lead volume can vary, and I don't want to promise a specific number of jobs before we establish the partnership. The goal is to provide a steady flow of legitimate customer opportunities as they come in. Customer Communication Once a lead is sent over, the plumbing contractor would be responsible for contacting the customer and communicating with them regarding: The plumbing issue The customer's location Job requirements Availability Pricing or estimates Scheduling Any questions about the work I will handle the lead-generation and initial customer intake side, while the contractor handles the actual plumbing consultation and service. Communication between both sides is important. I would like to know when a lead has been contacted, whether the customer scheduled, whether the job was completed, and the final amount charged. Job Tracking & Payments For each completed job, we should keep basic records showing: Customer name Job address Type of service Date of service Amount charged Job-related expenses Any refunds or cancellations Final net profit Each party's agreed share The purpose is simply to keep everything transparent and make sure both sides are paid correctly. Cancellations, Refunds & Problems If a customer cancels, the job cannot be completed, a refund is issued, or another issue occurs, we can communicate about the situation and adjust the payment accordingly. Any unusual situation involving a customer, payment, refund, warranty issue, damage claim, or dispute should be communicated as soon as possible so we can work out the appropriate solution together. The exact terms can be put into a written independent-contractor/partnership agreement before work begins. Why Partner With Me? The main benefit is that you can receive additional residential plumbing opportunities without having to spend your own time and money constantly looking for customers. I handle the marketing and lead-generation side and work on bringing in customers. You focus on what you do best — plumbing, estimates, scheduling, and completing the work. I'm looking for someone who wants to build a long-term relationship rather than simply take one or two jobs. Interested? If you're an experienced plumber or independent plumbing contractor interested in discussing the opportunity, please apply or reach out. I'd like to have a quick conversation to learn more about your experience, service area, availability, and the types of plumbing jobs you normally handle. We can then discuss the lead flow, profit-sharing structure, expectations, and agreement before moving forward. This is an independent contractor partnership opportunity. Compensation is based on completed jobs and the agreed profit-sharing arrangement rather than an hourly wage.
