Job Description

We are a small plumbing, heating and water treatment company south of Boston, and we have more work than we can cover. We are looking to add a licensed plumber. Two owners, a master plumber on staff, and no layers in between. You would be working directly with the people who own the business, not with a dispatcher reading off a screen. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR A
Massachusetts Journeyman Plumber license is what we are after. That said, we will talk to apprentices and we will talk to masters. If you are partway through your hours and looking for somewhere to finish them, call us. If you are already a master and want somewhere you are not just a number, call us too. You will also need a valid driver's license and a clean enough record to drive for work.
WHERE THIS GOES
In Massachusetts, getting your journeyman license takes four years and 6,800 hours. Going from journeyman to MASTER takes one more year at journey level plus 100 hours of theory. It is the shortest step on the whole ladder and most people never hear about it. We have a master plumber on staff who can supervise those hours. If you want to get your master license, we will support you getting there and your pay moves with it. We are small and growing. There is room to run a crew, take on the HVAC side, or build out the water treatment work. That is not a line
  • there is nobody above you blocking it.
WHAT WE OFFER RIGHT NOW
$45 to $60 an hour Gas covered Vehicle
  • we can work something out, tell us what you need Overtime available and paid Performance bonus on sold work Steady year-round work.
Plumbing, heating and water treatment together means we are not dead in the spring and fall. W-2. Real paycheck, taxes taken out, workers' comp. No 1099.
WHAT WE DO NOT HAVE YET
We are not going to pretend otherwise. We do not have health insurance or a 401k in place yet. We are a young company and those are on the list as we grow, but they are not there today, and we would rather tell you that now than have you find out after you start. What we do instead is pay well. If benefits are what you need most, we understand, and we would rather you keep looking than take the job and be unhappy. If you would rather have the money in your pocket, we are worth a conversation.
