Engineer Put your maintenance experience to work at The Saint Paul Hotel Starting at $29.18/hour The Saint Paul Hotel is seeking an experienced Engineer or Maintenance Professional to join our Property Operations and Maintenance Team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with a strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and general building systems who enjoys troubleshooting issues, making skilled repairs, and keeping a complex property operating safely and efficiently. No two days look the same. From preventative maintenance and equipment repairs to electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and building systems, you'll put your technical skills and problem-solving abilities to work throughout one of the Twin Cities' most iconic buildings. •This position supports the engineering team, performing skilled electrical, plumbing, and mechanical work to maintain and repair building and guest room equipment, electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Effectively performs skilled operations and maintenance in electrical distribution, plumbing, HVAC, kitchen equipment, information systems, mini-bar technology (Bartech), and building systems such as generator, sprinkler, meters, and gauges. Effectively performs skilled repairs, preventative maintenance to furniture, appliances, equipment, walls, walks, and building structures. Maintains fire system operations and equipment, testing regularly and replacing equipment as needed, extinguishes fires as needed. Ensures the efficient use of consumable energy products, including district hot/cold water, electricity, domestic water, and natural gas. Maintains engineering equipment, tools, and supplies, completing appropriate requisitions as needed, and accurately filing paperwork ( e.g. , guides, manuals, logs, etc.). Complies with local, state, and national regulations pertaining to safety and security procedures, including rooftop safety policies and procedures. Completes all other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Three (3) years related maintenance experience; or an Associate's degree or equivalent and one (1) year related maintenance experience. Working knowledge and ability to troubleshoot in electricity, plumbing, HVAC, and building maintenance; read blueprints, schematics, and function sheets. Have a valid driver's license and meet company and insurer's driving requirements. Able to work any day, evening, or weekend shifts as scheduled. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to position self to move about. The employee frequently is required to operate and use tools, equipment, and chemicals; and communicate with employees and management. The employee must move up to 50 pounds regularly.
