Position Overview Samaritan Plumbing is seeking an experienced, dependable, and skilled Lead Install Plumber to lead plumbing installation work, primarily on light commercial projects. This position is ideal for a plumber who enjoys installation work, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can confidently lead a small crew or work independently to complete projects efficiently and correctly. The Lead Install Plumber will be responsible for installing and coordinating plumbing systems on light commercial construction projects. The successful candidate will be able to read plans, understand plumbing layouts, coordinate with other trades, troubleshoot installation issues, and ensure that work is completed safely, professionally, and according to code. Key ResponsibilitiesPlumbing Installation Lead and perform plumbing installation work primarily on light commercial projects Install water supply, sanitary, waste, vent, and storm drainage piping Install plumbing fixtures and equipment according to plans and specifications Install water heaters, pumps, backflow prevention equipment, and other plumbing-related equipment as required Perform rough-in and finish plumbing installations Complete tie-ins to existing plumbing systems Cut, assemble, support, and install various types of plumbing piping and fittings Project Leadership Serve as the lead plumber on assigned installation projects Direct and coordinate the daily work of helpers, apprentices, and other plumbing personnel Organize materials, tools, and equipment needed to complete assigned work Monitor job progress and communicate project needs or concerns to management Coordinate plumbing work with general contractors and other trades on the job site Help ensure projects stay on schedule and are completed efficiently Plan Reading & Problem Solving Read and interpret plumbing plans, drawings, and specifications Lay out plumbing systems accurately before installation Identify potential installation conflicts and develop practical solutions Troubleshoot plumbing installation problems in the field Communicate changes or unforeseen conditions to management or the appropriate project representative Quality & Code Compliance Perform work in accordance with applicable plumbing codes and project specifications Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail Inspect completed work to identify leaks, deficiencies, or installation issues Properly test plumbing systems before completion Ensure work is completed correctly the first time and meets Samaritan Plumbing's quality standards Job Site & Customer Relations Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site Protect customer property and completed work Interact professionally with general contractors, customers, inspectors, and other trades Represent Samaritan Plumbing in a professional manner at all times Follow company safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment Qualifications 3-5+ years of plumbing installation experience required Strong experience with commercial or light commercial plumbing installation Ability to read and understand plumbing plans and specifications Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and installation methods Ability to work independently and lead others Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Good communication and organizational skills Valid driver's license with a good driving record Ability to lift materials and equipment and perform physically demanding work Commitment to quality workmanship and job-site safety Preferred Experience Lead plumber or foreman experience Light commercial construction experience Experience with new construction and remodel projects Experience coordinating plumbing work with general contractors and other trades Experience with commercial fixtures, water heaters, pumps, and backflow equipment Journeyman plumbing license or equivalent experience What We Offer Stable, year-round employment Competitive pay based on experience Opportunity to lead projects and advance within the company Supportive team environment Professional, quality-focused work environment Opportunities for continued training and development
