Full-Time Payne's Plumbing, Heating and Electric LLC is a family-owned and operated company that has been serving customers since 1978. We are looking for a dependable, motivated Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical Service Technician to join our team. We are a small company, so we're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can handle a variety of jobs, works well independently, and is willing to help wherever needed. Experience in multiple trades is strongly preferred, but we are willing to consider someone who is highly experienced in one trade and willing to learn the others. Job Duties & Responsibilities Perform residential plumbing service and repairs Install and repair faucets, toilets, water heaters, pumps, piping and plumbing fixtures Install and service water softeners and water treatment equipment Perform furnace and air-conditioning service, maintenance and installation Assist with complete HVAC system installations and ductwork Troubleshoot residential electrical problems Install outlets, switches, lighting, circuits, breakers and other electrical components Assist with electrical, plumbing and HVAC work on new-construction homes Perform work associated with bathroom remodels Assist with trenching, underground utilities and gas-line installations Diagnose problems and recommend appropriate repairs Communicate professionally with homeowners Keep customers informed about the work being performed Maintain an organized work truck and jobsite Properly care for company tools and equipment Complete job paperwork and document materials used Follow company procedures and applicable safety requirements Keep jobsites clean and leave customers' homes in good condition Work independently when required while also working well with the rest of our team Qualifications Previous plumbing, HVAC, electrical or construction experience preferred Strong mechanical ability and troubleshooting skills Valid driver's license with a dependable driving record Ability to safely operate power tools and equipment Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, climbing, kneeling and working in crawlspaces or other tight areas Dependable and punctual Professional appearance and attitude Good communication and customer-service skills Willingness to learn additional trades Able to work without constant supervision Takes pride in doing the job correctly What We're Looking For We aren't looking for someone who just wants to punch a clock.
