JOB DUTIES

Assemble, install, maintain, and pressure test all pipes, fittings and fixtures, water, drainage and gas systems according to specifications and plumbing codes. Determine sources of plumbing malfunctions and complete repairs as indicated or according to work orders. Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures. Install and repair pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, and plumbing system equipment, including sinks, commodes, water heaters, water softeners, etc.; install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures and equipment. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks and waste and drainage systems. Maintaining and repairing existing ones. Understand and follow blueprints or building plans. Follow current rules and regulations related to plumbing to ensure that systems pass inspection. Respond to plumbing emergencies, determining the issue, and making a repair. Perform maintenance of plumbing systems to prevent emergencies.

REQUIREMENTS

Apprentice or Journeyman Plumbing experience. Knowledge and understanding of pipes, fittings, and all manner of plumbing fixtures, from toilets to washing machines. Light commercial or residential experience preferred. Be willing to work in a drug free work environment. Be a
