Our client is seeking a Lift Station Mechanic-in-Training to assist with preventive maintenance and repairs on lift station facilities, electromechanical machinery, and equipment. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to build hands-on maintenance experience while working toward Florida wastewater collections certification.

Pay:

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare pre-task plans and adhere to safety requirements before beginning workAssist Lift Station Operator with preventive maintenance and repairs on lift station equipmentLubricate equipment and check for malfunctionsReplace packing in pumps and valves; replace bearings in motors, pumps, and other equipmentMaintain physical appearance and housekeeping of lift stationsPerform daily and weekly preventive maintenance on all equipmentPerform routine electrical maintenance and motor repairsClean lift station wet wellsPerform clean-up work after repairs are completedComplete work orders and field complaint formsParticipate in a weekly rotating after-hours on-call schedule, including weekends and holidaysPerform other duties as required

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or GEDAbility to obtain a Florida DEP-approved Class "C" Wastewater Collections license within one year of employmentConstruction experienceValid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:
